Located 1 mile north of Kaanapali Beach on a strip of golden sand shared with similar but smaller time-share condominiums, not to be mistaken for the sleeker Kaanapali Beach Hotel located 10 minutes' drive south of here, this garish-looking hotel resembles a gigantic pink oil tanker. From the looks of this stepped pyramid, guests are apt to think they've arrived in Miami or Cancun, not laid-back Maui.
