Hotels.com reported "significant increases" for
pricing during 2010 at business hotels in key business travel destinations.
Five-star hotel rates, for example, increased by 23 percent year over year in
Shanghai, 21 percent in Boston, 20 percent in Chicago and 19 percent in London,
though they decreased by 3 percent in New York.
The overall Hotels.com price index indicated a 2 percent
year-over-year increase in the average hotel room rate paid during 2010.
