Turkish Airlines is extending its reach into Southeast Asia with a codeshare partnership with Bangkok Airways. The agreement covers 16 routes from Bangkok to destinations in Thailand, Myanmar, Vietnam and Laos, and the carriers are awaiting approval to expand it to include flights to Phnom Penh and Siem Reap, both in Cambodia. Turkish Airlines this week also announced new service between Istanbul and Pointe-Noire in the Republic of Congo, the carrier's 58th destination in Africa. The service operates three times per week and connects through Libreville, Gabon.
