Singapore Airlines plans to add flights across Asia and increase Airbus A380 services to Australia between March 26 and Oct. 29, 2023, the carrier announced Tuesday. In addition, it is adjusting service on routes to the Americas and Europe.
Roundtrip service between Singapore and Busan, South Korea, will resume June 2, operating four times weekly on Boeing 737-8 aircraft. In addition, from June 1 the carrier will add a fourth daily roundtrip service between Singapore and Seoul with Boeing 787-10 aircraft.
Beginning March 26, the carrier will increase its four-times-weekly Singapore-Hong Kong service to daily using Airbus A380 aircraft, as well as reinstate another daily service from Oct. 1 using Airbus A350-900 medium-haul aircraft. These additions will increase Singapore's daily flights to Hong Kong to four, according to the carrier.
For Taipei, Singapore from March 26 will increase its four-times weekly service to daily and its three-times-weekly service will increase to daily from May 31. These additions will bring the carrier's weekly service to Taipei to 14, according to Singapore.
The carrier from May 1 will increase its four-times-weekly service between Singapore and Osaka to daily, also bringing the carrier's weekly service to 14.
From March 26, the carrier will add a fourth daily service between Singapore and Phuket, Thailand, using Boeing 737-800NG aircraft. From Oct. 1, Singapore will add a fifth daily roundtrip service to Bangkok using Airbus A350-900 medium-haul aircraft.
In addition, Singapore on May 16 will begin using Airbus A380 aircraft instead of Boeing 777-300ER aircraft on flights between Singapore and Melbourne. It also will operate Airbus A380 aircraft on its Singapore-Sydney roundtrip flights that currently use Airbus A350-900 medium-haul aircraft, according to the carrier.
The announcement comes about a month after Singapore began reinstating and increasing its East Asia service.
Further, the carrier from May 15 will operate Boeing 777-300ER aircraft instead of Airbus A380 aircraft on the daily Singapore-Frankfurt-New York route. It also from March 26 will reduce the frequency of one of its daily Singapore-Los Angeles flights to thrice weekly.
The carrier's Singapore-Manchester-Houston route from March 28 will operate three times weekly instead of four times. Singapore also will launch new twice-weekly service April 2 between Singapore and Manchester, U.K., using A350-900 long-haul aircraft.
