Delta Air Lines will double its London service to about 30 weekly flights in the fall, the carrier announced.
Delta plans to restart three weekly flights to London Heathrow from Seattle on Oct. 7, followed by four weekly flights from Detroit starting Oct. 11. Service from New York's John F. Kennedy Airport will increase from daily to twice-daily on Oct. 6. The carrier also will continue its current daily service to Heathrow from Atlanta.
The announcement came as the United Kingdom this week reopened to fully vaccinated U.S. travelers without quarantine requirements. Travelers to London will need to provide both proof of vaccination and negative results from a Covid-19 test taken within three days of departure and then take another test within two days after arrival. They will need to take a test within three days of departure for re-entry to the United States as well.
