Weeks after unveiling plans to sunset its in-house online booking tool, Short's Travel Management has announced it will offer Deem as an OBT option to its midsize and enterprise-level corporate clients. Deem joins Upside as outside OBT providers that have struck distribution alliances with Short's, which will wind down its own Short's Travel Online booking tool in favor of third-party services, a decision the TMC said was motivated by changing client demands amid the Covid-19 pandemic. High on the list of new client demands are robust duty-of-care services, and Short's cited Deem's recently released SafetyCheck destination risk scoring service and ability to display in-booking-flow information on airline cleaning and other safety protocols among the OBT's key capabilities in that area.
