Singapore Airlines' New Distribution Capability offers will be available next year via the Amadeus Travel Platform and its corporate travel and expense tool, Cytric, Amadeus announced.
Amadeus will make available content through Singapore's KrisConnect "NDC gateway," which gives third parties access to sell and service ancillary products including seat selection, bag fees and special offers for corporate travelers and loyalty program members. Singapore's NDC content will be available first in January through Amadeus Selling Platform Connect and Amadeus Travel API for several markets, largely in the Asia-Pacific region. The availability will roll out to other markets globally through the first half of 2021, according to Amadeus.
The capability to book through Cytric also will come in the first half of the year, Amadeus said.
Earlier this year, Singapore announced that it will expand KrisConnect to the United States in March 2021. Next year, Singapore also will begin levying a $12 per-ticket surcharge on global distribution system bookings through the legacy EDIFACT standard for seven initial markets—Singapore, Australia, Germany, Indonesia, New Zealand, Switzerland and the United Kingdom—with plans to eventually have the surcharge at all points of sale.
