UATP Partners With UK's Paysafecard For Prepaid Air Voucher
Universal Air Travel Plan on Wednesday announced a partnership with the U.K.-based Paysafecard Group to create a prepaid voucher system to purchase air tickets with UATP partner airlines.
The voucher, Cash-Ticket, does not require personal bank details and instead provides a 16-digit PIN code to users, including infrequent or guest business travelers who might not have a corporate charge card. Users can track their balance and transactions online.
A Cash-Ticket also requires a €2 activation fee. The vouchers come in denominations of €10, €20, €50, €100 and €150, and travelers can use up to 10 at once.
"Consumers continue to look for greater convenience and security for online purchases," UATP president and CEO Ralph Kaiser said in a statement. "There is a steady trend toward debit-based payments and cash transactions. Cash-Ticket is perfectly poised to capture this growing trend."
