Several European business centers experienced year-over-year hotel occupancy declines in October
, according to Smith Travel research. Occupancy declined significantly in Copenhagen (13 percent), Madrid (14 percent), Prague (16 percent) and Rome (15 percent). Smaller reductions occurred in Amsterdam (7 percent), Brussels (5 percent), Dublin (9 percent), London (3 percent), Moscow (4 percent) and Warsaw (6 percent).
