Transportation
British Airways subsidiary OpenSkies on Oct. 29 will suspend service between Washington Dulles and Paris Orly, making Newark-Orly the carrier's lone route.
"All customers booked on flights beyond Oct. 28,
2011, will be contacted by an OpenSkies representative and given choices on
alternative transportation or a refund to ensure they are accommodated,"
according to a carrier statement. Meanwhile, OpenSkies in 2012 is expected to
join the transatlantic joint venture that includes American Airlines, British
Airways and Iberia, Airline Weekly reported. An OpenSkies spokesperson,
however, commented, "We do not have any information on that at this
moment."
