New York-based travel agency Protravel International has
acquired Great International Travel, a $33 million Massachusetts agency with
offices in Boston, Needham and Burlington.
With sales of 75 percent corporate and 25 percent leisure,
Great International serves premium customers with a strong focus on
international business, making the agency a good fit, Protravel said.
Great International has been managed by founder Carole
Swartz since 1978.
Protravel, No. 18 on Travel Weekly’s 2010 Power List with
$537 million in sales, said it is poised to hit $750 million after a strong
year of internal growth and acquisitions.
