ARC Sees April Travel Agency Sales Climb By 25 Percent
ARC today reported total travel agency sales in April increased nearly 25 percent over the same period last year, with the number of transactions increasing by about 8 percent.
ARC data show year-over-year travel agency sales have been recovering since November 2009. For the first three months this year, total sales were up 19 percent compared with the first three months of 2009.
Year to date, total sales have grown 21 percent. Still, the $7.221 billion in sales recorded for April fell shy of the $7.598 billion reached in March, when sales increased nearly 30 percent over the same period last year.
