Lyft has expanded its Lyft Business Rewards program to Bill credit cardholders, the ride-hailing company announced Wednesday. Bill, formerly known as Divvy, is an expense management software platform for corporations.
Bill cardholders now can activate a Lyft business profile through the Lyft app and connect their Bill business account to earn Lyft Business Rewards on eligible work rides. Users will receive up to 8 percent Lyft Cash back with receipts automatically forwarded to Bill Spend & Expense.
The partnership helps ease any concern client employees won't activate emailed invitations to Lyft Business Rewards, VP of Lyft Business and Healthcare Buck Poropatich told BTN, a situation that he added can lead to missed savings and earnings opportunities.
"Relying always on an organization and an invite can be a little bit of a more challenging process," Poropatich said. "We know some of these corporate credit cards by definition are corporate travelers, and we [now] can grant them access to our rewards program. It's a way to very quickly start to scale this up."
Lyft also in recent months started to roll out self-enrollment for companies using Lyft Business Rewards, Poropatich said.
"It's alleviating some of the hassles and headaches an admin might be trying to navigate and manage," he said. "It helps with better compliance so that they can get all the trackability, they can get the rewards, they can get any sort of volume-based discounts."
