Twenty-five members of Star Alliance now can offer air-rail connectivity through a partnership with Öbb, Austria's rail network, the alliance announced.
The partnership is "founded on Öbb and Austrian Airlines' long-standing cooperation to offer rail-to-air connectivity," which was launched in 2014, according to Star Alliance. The deal includes connections to and from Graz, Linz, Salzburg and Innsbruck.
Star Alliance's first rail partner was Deutsche Bahn, introduced in summer 2022, as part of the alliance's Intermodal Partnership initiative.
