Chauffeured service network Blacklane plans "major
growth" across the Middle East and Africa this year, following a recent
round of investment that included Abu Dhabi-based conglomerate Al Fahim.
Blacklane's network covers 250 cities in 50 countries, and it expects to grow to
300 cities this year. Blacklane did not disclose the amount of the new funding,
which also includes investments from previous investors Daimler
and venture capital firm Btov Partners, but said it was "its largest
investment to date." TechCrunch reported the capital is between $40
million and $45 million.
