Costin Corneanu
Amtrak deputy chief financial officer Costin Corneanu will step up to the CFO role on Aug. 4 as part of a "planned transition," the rail service provider announced.
Corneanu will succeed EVP and CFO Tracie Winbigler, who joined Amtrak in that position in June 2019 and will retire from Amtrak on Jan. 1, 2026. When Corneanu takes the EVP and CFO position next week, Winbigler will continue to lead Amtrak's procurement and real estate teams as chief transformation officer until her retirement, according to Amtrak.
Corneanu joined Amtrak in 2020 and previously held roles at Spirit Airlines and US Airways. Amtrak president Roger Harris in a statement said he "has been a cornerstone of our financial leadership, bringing deep expertise and strategic insight to the table."
