From July 10 through Sept. 1, Amtrak will reduce
service to New York City's Penn Station as the hub undergoes
expedited repairs to combat delays and disruptions. The cuts include three
weekday round-trips between New York and Washington on the Northeast Regional
line; Acela Express service and Northeast Regional service to Boston will
remain on their normal schedules. Amtrak's Keystone Service will end three
weekday round-trips coming from Harrisburg in Philadelphia instead of New York
and one weekday round-trip in Newark, N.J. Crescent Service from New Orleans
will end in Washington, D.C., for that period.
