On June 1, Amtrak will restore Acela service on the Northeast Corridor line on a reduced schedule. Acela service will run three times daily, and Amtrak also will increase Northeast Regional service from eight to 10 roundtrips per day "in response to anticipated increased demand." The rail service will continue to have enhanced safety measures, including selling to 50 percent capacity and the mask requirement for passengers it announced this week.
