WestJet plans to launch an ultra-low-cost
carrier offering "no-frills" and "lower-cost travel options"
in Canada. Subject to pilot agreements and regulatory approval, the LCC will launch
in late 2017 with a fleet of 10 high-density Boeing 737-800s, according to
WestJet.
