United Airlines will begin consolidating all regional flying
on Embraer 145 aircraft with regional partner CommutAir, according to a carrier
spokesperson. As such, it will be ending
its partnership with ExpressJet, which was its other operator of the
aircraft type. The consolidation process will take "a number of
months," after which CommutAir "will be positioned to meet demand in
the current operating environment," according to the spokesperson.
