United Airlines has named managing director of the Eastern sales division Leon Goldberg to the role of managing director of international sales, effective Jan. 1, 2026, according to internal memos viewed by BTN. He will succeed Marcel Fuchs, who is retiring from the airline. Fuchs joined United in 1991.
Goldberg will be responsible for international sales in the United Kingdom, Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia.
In addition, director of sales for Latin America Christine Valls has been promoted to managing director of Latin America, Caribbean, city ticket offices and Miami, according to United.
Further, the regional sales director of New York Nick Depner has been promoted to succeed Goldberg as managing director of the Eastern sales division, effective Dec. 15.
Goldberg, Valls and Depner each will report to SVP of worldwide sales Doreen Burse.
