Colombian carrier Avianca has renewed its distribution
agreement with Travelport, which will bring New Distribution Capability content
to the Travelport Plus global distribution system, Travelport announced
Wednesday.
"By renewing our partnership with Travelport, we expect
to elevate our distribution strategy and make our NDC content even more
accessible to our agency retail partners," Avianca sales VP Catalina
Nannig said in a statement.
In
July, Avianca partnered with Sabre Corp. to provide NDC content to
Sabre-connected agencies. Avianca, Colombia's flag carrier, in May announced it
would form
a holding company with Brazilian low-cost carrier Gol that would control
both carriers. The deal has not yet closed.
