Norwegian low-cost carrier Norse Atlantic named Eivind Roald as its new president and CEO, effective immediately, the carrier announced Friday. Roald succeeds founder Bjørn Tore Larsen, who will continue with Norse as chairman of the board.
Roald most recently was CEO of consultancy CRST Advisory. His previous roles include nearly six years at Scandinavian Airlines, including as EVP and chief commercial officer, CEO of QNTM Group, managing director of Hewlett-Packard Norway and partner at Accenture, according to his LinkedIn profile.
Norse in late July named Kristin Berthelsen as deputy CEO. The carrier did not immediately respond to a request concerning any effect of the new CEO appointment on Berthelsen's position.
