Delta plans for its new Delta One suites to be available next year on the Airbus A350-1000.
Delta Air Lines is updating its Delta One suites and will launch the new product on the Airbus A350-1000, expected to be delivered in early 2027 with 50 percent of its seats in premium cabins, the carrier announced Monday. In addition, the airline will add Delta One suites with privacy doors to its Airbus A330-200 and -300 fleet and update all cabins on those aircraft.
The announcement comes after United Airlines detailed new Polaris suites in May 2025 and American Airlines debuted its new Flagship Suite in June 2025.
The new Delta One suites on the Airbus A350-1000 fleet will include a lie-flat bed that is three inches longer than current models, a new pillow-top cushion over memory foam cushioned seats, stowage options that include a place for shoes, a tray within reach of the flat bed, a hook for eyeglasses, Bluetooth connectivity, wireless charging and a 24-inch "cinema-quality" screen. Outer rows will face the windows, while the adjoining suites in the middle of the cabin will have a sliding window for privacy.
Delta will bring many of those new elements, along with others from the current Delta One product, to the refreshed Airbus A330-200 and -300 aircraft, including the pillow-top, wireless charging, signature feature lamp, in-suite mood lighting and USB-C ports, according to Delta.
The carrier also will add a snack station at the main entry on the Airbus A350-1000 planes and at the front of the Airbus A330-200 and -300 planes. Further, on those aircraft, Delta has added accessible features, including a new, custom-designed seat control center that uses tactile elements to allow customers to adjust seat comfort through touch. A dedicated accessible lavatory will provide more space for customers with reduced mobility, according to Delta.
Every seat on the Airbus A350-1000 and A330-200 and -300 aircraft will have memory foam cushions, USB-C and universal AC power outlets, Bluetooth connectivity and larger seatback screens with 4K QLED resolution, according to the carrier.
Delta projects that 90 percent of Delta One seats will be suites with sliding privacy doors by 2030.
The initiatives are part of Delta's investment of more than $1 billion into fleet upgrades, including new onboard designs that so far have been rolled out to 18 aircraft through new plane deliveries and upgrades, according to a Delta spokesperson.
The carrier planned for its new cabin interiors, announced in October 2024 and first introduced in early 2025, to debut on narrowbody Boeing 757 aircraft for domestic and short-haul international routes, followed by widebody Airbus A350 aircraft. The upgrades include new seating materials, enhanced lighting and a renewed color palette. Lavatories also are being updated.
Delta expects more than 800 aircraft will have the new interiors in the next five years.
