June 2026 Announcements
For the week ending June 26
Delta Air Lines on April 12, 2027, will launch nonstop service between Newark Liberty International Airport and Los Angeles International Airport, the carrier announced Friday. The route will operate twice daily on Airbus A321neo aircraft.
Delta on Dec. 19 will begin seasonal service between New York's LaGuardia Airport and Melbourne, Fla. Service will operate on Saturday and Sunday through May 2, 2027.
Delta also will launch on Nov. 21 Saturday service between Austin, Texas, and Fort Myers, Fla. Service will operate on Airbus A220-300 aircraft through April 10, 2027.
For the week ending June 19
JetBlue on Nov. 19 will add new daily Mint service between Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and San Diego, the carrier announced June 17. JetBlue also beginning this winter will increase daily flights with the Mint product to up to eight between Fort Lauderdale and Los Angeles, and up to three between Fort Lauderdale and San Francisco.
Iberia on June 13 launched service between Madrid and Toronto Pearson. Flights will operate five times weekly with Airbus A321XLR aircraft equipped with the carrier's new Airspace cabin featuring larger overhead bins and two cabins—business and economy—with 182 seats.
For the week ending June 12
American Airlines on July 14 will launch service between Miami and Maracaibo, Venezuela, the carrier announced June 12. Flights will operate daily with Embraer 175 aircraft. In addition, American on Nov. 1 will begin service between Miami and Cap-Haitien, Haiti. Flights will operate daily with Boeing 737 aircraft.
Qatar Airways on Aug. 1 will relaunch Doha-Philadelphia service, the carrier announced June 10. Flights will operate daily with Airbus A350-900 aircraft equipped with the carrier's Qsuite product and Starlink Wi-Fi. Qatar last operated the route on Oct. 27, 2023. Philadelphia will be the carrier's 14th North American destination.
Royal Air Maroc has launched its direct Casablanca-Los Angeles service, the carrier announced June 8. The route is scheduled to operate three times weekly. The airline's other North American gateways include New York JFK, Miami, Washington, D.C., Montreal and Toronto.
Riyadh Air, Saudi Arabia's new second national carrier, on June 7 announced five new routes to begin in the coming weeks: Jeddah, Saudi Arabia (June 14), Dubai, U.A.E. (June 18), Cairo, Egypt (June 25), Madrid, Spain (July 17) and Manchester, U.K. (July 23). The routes were added after the delivery of the carriers' first three Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft. In addition, Riyadh has moved up its launch date to London to June 10 from July 1.
For the week ending June 5
Iberia has launched direct flights between Madrid and Monterrey, Mexico, the carrier announced June 3. Flights will operate three times weekly with Airbus A330-200 aircraft configured with 288 seats across business and economy cabins.
Cathay Pacific in the first quarter of 2027 plans to launch direct service between Hong Kong and Almaty, Kazakhstan, the carrier announced June 2. Flights will operate three times weekly with Airbus A330-300 widebody aircraft, and it will be the only direct service linking Hong Kong with Kazakhstan, according to Cathay.
El Al on Oct. 25 will launch nonstop service between Tel Aviv and San Francisco, the carrier announced June 1. The route will operate three times weekly with "the airline's advanced [Boeing] Dreamliner aircraft," according to El Al.
