JetBlue has appointed Steve Olsen as VP of system
operations, reporting to the carrier’s president and COO Joanna Geraghty, the
airline announced Wednesday.
He currently serves as managing director of the integrated
operation center for American Airlines and spent nearly two decades with that
carrier—and its predecessors US Airways and America West, according to JetBlue.
The carrier did not respond to requests for when Olsen will assume his new
role.
Olson will replace Alex Battaglia, who has led JetBlue’s
system operations and airport teams and who is retiring after more than 15
years with the airline, according to JetBlue.
