JetBlue has promoted VP of flight operations Jeffrey Winter to SVP of flight operations, inflight experience and technical operations, effective immediately, the carrier announced. He will report to JetBlue chief operating officer Warren Christie.
The new appointment is part of an "evolution of JetBlue's operations organization," according to the carrier. The new structure is designed to strengthen coordination across key operational functions, create clearer accountability, improve day-to-day executive and support the company's JetForward strategy, introduced two years ago.
Winter joined JetBlue in 2015 and has held senior leadership roles across flight operations and JetBlue University, according to the carrier. He previously had a 26-year career in the U.S. Navy.
