Delta Sky Club access is no longer an automatic
benefit for Diamond-level SkyMiles members but rather is becoming one of the
benefits from which Diamond members choose when they enroll. However, Diamond
members previously could select two such Choice Benefits and now can select
three. Beginning Feb. 1, when members qualify for Diamond status for 2018, they
will be allowed to select their three Choice Benefits, such as upgrade
certificates, bonus miles, transferrable status gifts or Sky Club access. The
change in benefit structure actually increases the total benefits to members who
already get access to Sky Clubs by other means, such as through the Delta
Reserve Credit Card from American Express, according to the carrier.
