Anthony Rader Tapped to Lead American's Corp. Sales

American Airlines has named Anthony Rader as managing director of corporate sales, Rader announced Thursday on LinkedIn. He has been with the carrier since 2010, starting in the sales department, but most recently was director of distribution and offer and order management strategy.

"We're making significant investments in the corporate traveler experience, our Sales organization, and our Sales programs to enhance the value and support we provide to you and your travelers," Rader wrote in a note to corporate customers that BTN reviewed. "These efforts reflect our deep commitment to driving success together, and you have my full support—along with the full backing of the entire American team."

As widely reported, American saw its corporate share shrink after the carrier rolled out an aggressive New Distribution Capability strategy in April 2023. American pivoted from that strategy in May 2024 and has been dedicated to restoring that share by the end of 2025, according to American CEO Robert Isom during a fourth-quarter 2024 earnings call.
