American Airlines later this year will begin construction on a new Admirals Club at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport in Texas, the carrier announced Tuesday.
The new lounge will be more than 12,000 square feet in size and located on the west side of the terminal, doubling its current footprint at the airport. It also will include an outdoor terrace, "a first for American's lounge network," according to the carrier.
The carrier's current lounge in Austin will remain open during construction, according to American.
