American Airlines has pushed back its return date for Boeing 737 Max by nearly two months to June 4. American previously had planned to begin reintroducing the aircraft on April 7, and the carrier will issue its formal schedule change on Saturday, after which its reservations team will begin contacting travelers with reservations affected by the extension. American's new date matches the date announced by United Airlines in December.
