American Airlines has appointed Suzanne Boda to
the new role SVP of Los Angeles as the carrier seeks to strengthen its Southern
California presence. Boda, who has worked for American since 2008, most
recently as SVP of hub and gateway operations, will work with sales, marketing
and operations teams across the carrier's Los Angeles International Airport
hub. Over the past 16 months, American has added or announced service to 24 new
destinations from LAX and recruited more than 500 employees for its LAX team,
according to American customer experience SVP Kerry Philipovitch. Joe Taney, who
has led operations at American's Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport hub
since 2015, has taken on Boda's previous role.
