Air India has purchased 30 additional Boeing aircraft composed of 20 737-8 and 10 737-10 models, the carrier announced this week. This deal increases the number of firm orders Air India has with Boeing to 250, including the 220 aircraft ordered in 2023.
The carrier so far has received 52 aircraft from Boeing, including 51 737-8 models in service with Air India subsidiary Air India Express, and one new 787-9 that enters commercial service between Mumbai and Frankfurt, Germany, on Feb. 1, according to the carrier.
