Total air tickets sold in June by U.S.-based travel agencies with at least 70 percent self-reported corporate and government business fell 90.5 percent year over year, according to Airlines Reporting Corp., a bit better than the 95.2 percent decline ARC reported in May.
Corporate agency air ticket sales in recent weeks have been more consistently down year over year than leisure and online ticket sales, which have dropped off alongside a sharp increase in positive Covid-19 cases in the U.S. South and West. But corporate sales too in the week ending July 12 declined 90.4 percent year over year, down from an 88.2 percent decline the week prior, according to ARC.
The consolidated value of all tickets sold in June by U.S.-based travel agencies fell 94 percent year over year to $469 million. The average U.S. round-trip ticket price in June decreased to $374 from $512 one year prior.
