Booking capture specialist CapTrav will join World Travel Inc.'s third-party marketplace under a new reseller deal between the companies.
Founded in 2018, CapTrav offers functionality similar to such services as Traxo and SAP Concur's TripLink, promising to harness data from bookings made outside of corporate-preferred channels. CapTrav's service integrates with corporate email servers to automatically parse booking confirmations sent from suppliers and off-channel booking tools, subsequently standardizing the relevant data and forwarding it to travel management systems for duty of care, reporting and compliance purposes.
While managing leakage had been a priority for travel managers long before the onset of Covid-19, it could prove vital for some post-pandemic as corporations face increased pressure to ensure traveler safety while many also navigate new budgetary constraints.
Amid the amped-up onus on limiting leakage, some travel management companies have sought to link their corporate clients with booking capture providers; Traxo's TMC-tailored program has signed several TMC partners since launching in September 2020.
World Travel Inc. under the new pact will offer CapTrav through its Partner Market third-party marketplace, which the TMC rolled out in February.
