Darren Toohey
Former Corporate Travel Management sales leader Darren Toohey has joined travel technology company Wenrix as general manager for the Americas, he announced on LinkedIn.
Wenrix provides technology for travel management companies, online travel agencies and other travel industry players, including its core predictive price assurance offering that has both pre-ticket and post-ticket optimization capabilities. In his announcement, Toohey said the company "has built the AI infrastructure for profitable growth in air" and that in his new role, he would be working "alongside many of the industry's leading OTAs and TMCs, strengthening strategic relationships and helping customers unlock measurable business value through AI."
Earlier this year, Wenrix was acquired by Swedish company Etraveli Group, which Wenrix CEO and co-founder Amir Balaish at the time said would help speed up the company's growth.
Toohey joined CTM as chief sales and customer officer in early 2025, following a long career at CWT. He departed his role at CTM, which over the past year has been embroiled in investigations and review related to a major accounting crisis, in February, according to his LinkedIn profile.
