Travel technology provider TripStax has signed a reseller agreement with project and team travel booking tool Tripgrid to make the technology available to travel management companies, the companies announced.
The Tripgrid tool enables users to book flights for an entire team in a single booking flow, replacing a manual process that typically has involved spreadsheets. That can enable more than 20 flights to be booked in less than 30 minutes, according to the company. The tool also includes such features as stored traveler profiles, group checkout capabilities and live flight tracking.
TripStax already has been working with Tripgrid with its Content API, which enables Tripgrid to provide global distribution system content, and a profile solution created through its Portal module. With the reseller agreement, TMCs of any size will now be able to access the booking tool.
"Until now … we have focused on working directly with corporates who have significant [project, crew and team travel] requirements but didn't have a TMC in place to manage this for them," Tripgrid cofounder and CEO Jake Hoskins said in a statement. "We are therefore excited to strengthen our partnership with TripStax, whose technology has already enabled us to leapfrog our development over the last year."
TripStax said demand is "strong" from TMCs for the tool and that it is in the late stages of contracting with "several" of its TMC clients.
