Corporate analytics software provider PredictX has received a U.S. patent for the technology behind its travel data reporting product, The Story. Launched in 2017, The Story is designed to present data on corporate travel spending and policy compliance in a narrative context with an emphasis on visual elements, with the ultimate goal of conveying information in a clearer and more engaging way than a model more reliant on raw numbers in order to better guide data-driven decision-making.
The patent covers the automated production of those reports, a process that utilizes artificial intelligence, machine learning and natural language generation technologies.
