Three years after its founding, mobile rebooking app Freebird raised $8 million in a Series A funding round led by American Express Ventures. Freebird will use the capital to hire more engineers, customer service representatives and sales representatives; expand its consumer business and pursue new channel opportunities such as consumer travel sites. The new investment comes after Freebird hired industry veteran Mike Daly as SVP of sales.
