Cornerstone Information Systems has launched a new data management platform designed to bring together data from across an increasingly fragmented travel procurement landscape, the company announced.
The platform, Upstream, brings together data from booking, expense, ERP and HR systems into a single framework for finance, travel and operations teams, according to Cornerstone. That brings companies more accurate data, particularly as adoption of New Distribution Capability and new distribution models is scattering data across multiple suppliers and platforms, the company said.
"Upstream lets organizations own and carry their data, no matter what platforms they use now or adopt in the future," Cornerstone CEO Mat Orrego said in a statement. "Too often, critical travel and expense information is locked inside a supplier's system."
Cornerstone added that Upstream is "scalable," making it accessible to midmarket clients who are often priced out of advanced travel and expense data tools.
