Wyndham Hotel Group's average daily rate dipped
1.4 percent year over year to $64.04 during the first quarter. Occupancy increased
from 48.6 percent to 49.5 percent. As of March 31, Wyndham's portfolio
consisted of 699,800 rooms across 8,100 hotels, a 3 percent year-over-year net
room increase. The group's development pipeline consists of 143,100 rooms across
1,130 hotels. About 59 percent are international properties, and 68 percent are
new construction. Companywide net income for the first quarter was $141 million,
up from $96 million for the first quarter of 2016.
