U.S. airlines' traffic and capacity reached all-time
highs in June on a seasonally adjusted basis, according to the U.S. Department
of Transportation's Bureau of Transportation Statistics. Domestic and
international traffic increased 0.6 percent compared with May, and capacity
rose 0.5 percent month over month. U.S. carriers' load factor rose for the
third month in a row to 83.6 percent, below the all-time high of 84.7 percent set
in October 2015.
