Lufthansa Group has announced that Stefan Kreuzpaintner on Jan. 1 will assume responsibility for the worldwide sales activities of Lufthansa, Swiss, Austrian Airlines and Brussels Airlines and will join the executive board as chief commercial officer.
Kreuzpaintner has worked for Lufthansa since 2003 and was most recently VP of sales for Europe, the Middle East and Africa for the group. He has also worked in revenue and sales management for Lufthansa and Brussels Airlines.
He will succeed Heike Birlenbach, who takes over a newly created customer experience role at the group. In this role, she will develop innovative offers and bundle the topics of in-flight and ground products along the travel chain, end-to-end digital customer experience, clear and comprehensible customer information and worldwide customer servicing.
Kreuzpaintner will also be responsible for station and cabin crew management, the sustainable development of the Munich hub and cooperation with Munich Airport.
