Alaska Airlines' 91 percent on-time arrival rate ranked it as February’s most punctual major North American airline, according to FlightStats. North American carriers on average got 82.9 percent of flights to their gates within 15 minutes of their scheduled arrival times. Among the 12 largest carriers, Frontier Airlines (89.4 percent), Southwest Airlines (88.8 percent), Virgin America (86.2 percent), United Airlines (84.4 percent), Delta Air Lines (84.1 percent) and WestJet (83.2 percent) also had above-average on-time rates. American Airlines (81.4 percent), Air Canada (74.4 percent), JetBlue Airways (71.4 percent), Spirit Airlines (65.3 percent) and Allegiant Air (59.6 percent) had on-time rates below the monthly average.
