British Airways appointed Sean Doyle to serve as general manager and executive vice president for the Americas,

effective Sept. 1. Previously BA's head of business planning and strategy, Doyle "will be responsible for the airline's extensive commercial business in the USA, Canada, Mexico, South America, the Caribbean and Bermuda," according to a company announcement. He will split his time between BA's London-area headquarters and its regional office in New York. Doyle will succeed Simon Talling-Smith.
