Serko Expense users now can submit expenses for reimbursement on the Serko Mobile app rather than just via desktop. "With the ability to book travel and submit expenses from within a single app, we've effectively mobilized the entire business process, which represents a huge step forward for travelers," said Serko CEO Darrin Grafton. The system uses optical character recognition to scan photos of receipts and then populates the expense, and Serko staffers verify the information. If a user has integrated his or her corporate card with Serko, the system will link the receipt to the expense. Cash purchases require the user to enter a bit more information.
