Former HRS Pay chief executive Kurt Knackstedt has joined travel and payment company consulting firm 490 Consulting as a managing director, the firm announced.
Based in Sydney, Knackstedt will help 490 expand its presence in the Asia-Pacific region while adding his experience in payments and technology to the firm globally. Prior to his stint with HRS, Knackstedt co-founded and served as CEO of B-to-B payment automation company Troovo, and he also has worked in leadership roles at Rio Tinto, American Express and Travelport.
"Our clients are navigating new technologies, Al, changing distribution models, evolving customer expectations and new opportunities for growth," 490 founder and managing partner Greeley Koch said in a statement. "Kurt significantly expands the expertise we can bring to those challenges, particularly across payments, technology, commercialization and business transformation."
Koch and Knackstedt have prior experience together, when Koch was executive director of the Association of Corporate Travel Executives and Knackstedt was president of the organization's global board.
