Expense management firm Emburse is offering clients a new tool to streamline reimbursement for non-employee travelers, such as job candidates, external consultants and vendors. Dubbed Abacus Reach, the mobile app-based tool is designed to replace the manual processes sometimes needed to track expenses for and reimburse such travelers, while also ensuring policy compliance, according to the company.
Organizations can invite external travelers to download Reach via email. Once the app is downloaded, travelers can submit receipt images for flight and hotel bookings, along with incidentals, directly through the app. Submitted expenses immediately are routed for approval, enabling travelers to be reimbursed the day after expense approval.
Reach now is available for customers of all of Emburse's Abacus, Certify, Nexonia and Chrome River expense tools. For users of Abacus, Reach can be combined with the recently released Emburse Card to eliminate the need for non-employees to pay out-of-pocket for purchases.
