Conferma has appointed Luis Yofe as general manager of North
America. Yofe, who was hired in March, will be based in the Dallas/Forth Worth
area and will build relationships with clients, banks, suppliers and other partners,
according to Conferma.
Yofe has more than 30 years of experience and previously was
MasterCard's senior business leader of travel payment solutions. He also has
held senior positions with BCD Travel and Carlson Wagonlit Travel and has worked
for Sabre.
In January 2015, Conferma hired Andres
Rojas as business development director for the Americas, responsible for
expansion into Latin America. Yofe joins Rojas' team to build on successes like
April's announcement that City
Express Hotels became the first chain in Mexico to process Conferma virtual
cards without requiring fax authorizations, a breakthrough for an industry that
struggles with lost
faxes and stranded travelers.
Since Rojas' appointment, Conferma also has
scored various
Brazilian partnerships, including online booking tool Argo IT, travel
industry information systems provider TX Group, app developer Envision Tecnologia
and several travel management companies.
