Amadeus will add Barclaycard's Precisionpay virtual corporate credit cards into the distribution giant's B2B Wallet virtual card platform. The integration enables travel management companies to generate single-use digital card numbers for specific purchases without tying up funds to guarantee the payments on behalf of clients, noted managing director of client coverage David Price. "We know that travel agencies in particular have an ongoing need to make upfront purchases before they themselves get paid" by the corporate client, Price said. "This integration with Amadeus will be another way to help travel agencies take control of their cash flow and become even more competitive." Flight Centre Travel Group is among the TMCs already using Precisionpay within Amadeus, the companies said. Amadeus' B2B Wallet launched in Europe in 2013 with an AirPlus virtual card and expanded to the U.S. in 2017 with the addition of a U.S. Bank-issued Mastercard virtual card.
